Stainless Steel typically contains a minimum of 10.5% Chromium, this makes it a highly corrosion resistant alloy. It will not rust or stain with water as ordinary steel does. Furthermore, unlike galvanised steel, which is simply coated in a corrosion resistant material, stainless steel will not pit, and does not require ongoing treatment to ensure its resistance to rust. Additionally, it is resistant to chemicals.
